Nora Ephron
I was sad to hear the news that Nora Ephron passed away last night. She was the writer of such films as Silkwood, When Harry Met Sally, You’ve Got Mail, and most recently, Julia & Julia. I was fortunate enough to be asked to photograph her at her home on the upper east side of Manhattan in 2010 as part of USA Network’s Character Approved campaign. She was very charming and funny, about how you would expect her to be, having seen her films. I admire her work and it was great to be able to meet her, if only briefly. She will be missed.
